  • Last night the 15 changemakers in design were honored and I clipped a segment from our live event.   • Simplicity: only the significant remains is a term Wright would say. Brizo's collection looks simple on the surface and its water complexity is refined.

    Belonging: elements of design are constantly revealing themselves. Brizo's water flow effortlessly moves through each cantilevered element and unfolds into the next.

    Individuality: individual expression is what great design stands for. Brizo's collection connects you to nature with its unique form and materials.

    Palette:using materials that connect us with the world around us creates peace. Brizo's use of metal reflects the environment around us. Coupling the color of the wood makes the design very welcoming. 

    Substance: materials are true and being used the way they should be. Brizo juxtaposed the use of metal and wood and used them in a way that was true to its materiality. 

    Integrity: the way a building shows you how it works and what it is made of. Brizo used integrity by showcasing water as its main design element. The water dramatically sprays off to one side. There is an element of calm and surprise at the same time.  #bathroom #organicarchitecture">

  • Wright is my hero. Going to the University at Buffalo Master of Architecture program, we were able to have events at Wright's Martin house. There I learned about his design philosophy which was derived from the landscape and harmony with the human scale.
