The city of Stamford is changing with newer buildings and a younger crowd. The existing building in its downtown needed a fresh redesign. Due to its asymmetrical window locations, an interesting solution had to be put in motion. A plaid pattern of green, black and cream stucco and brick became the answer to bring balance to it’s facade.

As you circle the boxes, your position changes what you feel. Time and space are not fixed. They’re made, and you’re the one making them.

Part 3 minimal details- The best lighting is the lighting you don’t see.

One of my favorite hidden details is the concealed LED lighting beneath the stair platform. Once the platform is wrapped in stone, you won’t see where the light is coming from. It will simply appear to float.

That soft glow will draw your eye up toward the dramatic double height window, while the stepped risers add depth and dimension.

It’s these quiet, almost invisible details that make the architecture feel special #poeticmodernism® #invisibledetail #i̇nteriorarchitecture #modern

Part 2 Minimal details- door that’s designed to disappear.

A jib door sits flush with the wall, eliminating bulky trim and visual clutter. We are still under construction but the walls are being prepared for these types of doors.

Why do I love them? Because great design isn’t always about what you add. Sometimes, it’s about what you make disappear.

Quiet. Seamless. Intentional.
